JOSEPH FINE
Co-Founder and Director of Operations

Joseph has been involved in real estate and construction since his teens, becoming a contractor, underwriter and real estate broker. He has extensive experience in operating a wide variety of large scale construction, renovation and development initiatives from start to completion, bringing his personal brand of obsessive attention to detail to every project. In addition to his intimate involvement with all planned and ongoing construction projects, Joseph is the primary systems architect behind most of the unique processes utilized daily by the MID Construction team, where his distinctive foresight, calculated thoroughness and accuracy allows complex projects to progress smoothly.

DAVID HIRSCH
Co-Founder and CEO
As CEO, David is responsible for managing the strategies, direction and operations at MID Construction Development. David is a licensed General Contractor in California, as well as in 3 additional states. David started his career in media and advertising, with a focus on the remodeling and construction industry. He co-founded 1800Remodel.com, a national home improvement brand and platform, to allow homeowners to connect with local contractors. Over the past 10 years, David has personally hired and trained over 500 employees, has accumulated expertise in general construction, renovation and development, and has personally overseen completion on over 3,000+ projects, valued at over $250M.
CHRISTOPHER WELCH
CFO

Chris is a seasoned finance executive with more than 20 years as CFO, COO or principal in 5 different companies. With tenure working in retail food & beverage, technology, automotive services and real estate development, Chris brings a wide range of experience to MID Construction/MIDOS Development. Chris manages all back office, finance, administration, IT and treasury functions for the company.
Chris has a BA in Architecture from UC Berkeley, an MBA from UCLA, is a licensed general contractor (874402) and also serves as a Design Review Board member for the City of Glendale, CA.

RICHARD KUHR
Sales Manager

With over 18 years of experience in sales across multiple industries, Richard Kuhr has built a strong foundation in client relations, business development, and strategic growth. His ability to connect with customers, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions has been key to his success.

For the past five years, Richard has specialized in the construction industry, working closely with clients to help them navigate project requirements, budgets, and timelines. His expertise in sales, combined with a deep understanding of construction processes, allows him to offer valuable insights and guide clients toward the best solutions. At MID Construction, Richard is committed to delivering exceptional service and building lasting relationships that drive successful projects.

STEVE GHERMAZIAN
Head of Construction
Steve received his MBA from Loyola Marymount University. Steve has 25+ years of Operations and Management experience, where he has directly managed an extensive variety of construction projects, hiring and negotiating with designers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors. Steve’s hands-on involvement includes overseeing virtually every facet of ongoing construction, as varied as onboarding and negotiations, managing project timelines, schedules, compliance with building and safety code, permitting, training, and virtually anything else related to day to day construction management.
JAKE HELLER
Director of Development

Jake is currently Director of Development for MID. He graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with a double major in Finance and Real Estate, and shortly after began his career as a property manager and broker. At Marcus & Millichap, Jake was awarded the Pace Setter award, which is only given to agents who perform at the highest level.
Jake also spent time working at the family business, Heller Properties, where he played an integral role in securing entitlements for a new 40 unit development project on the Los Angeles/Beverly Hills border. Prior to that, he managed the design team through completion on a 130 unit apartment building in Henderson, NV. Today, Jake and MID are developing hundreds of units across Los Angeles.

TARANJEET CHAWLA
Office Manager
Taranjeet is an experienced office manager with a demonstrated history of working in the construction industry. Skilled in Analytical Skills, Management, Management Information Systems (MIS), Payroll, and Marketing Strategy. Strong administrative professional with a PGDBA focused in Human Resource & Finance from Symbiosis Centre of Distance Learning, Pune.
SIARHEI SEMASHKA
Director of Systems Architecture
Siarhei has a PHD in Electrical Engineering, and has used those same strategic and organizational skills in creating much of the systems infrastructure at MID Construction, keeping projects running smoothly and flawlessly.
DAVID MCQUITTY
Managing Director
Managing director at CIM for 14 years, and Director of Construction and Development at Paramount Pictures for 20 years.
PAUL MCMANUS
Director of Project Management
Paul has been working in ground up construction at a very large scale for 30+ years. He has personally overseen and managed construction projects valued at over $5 Billion. He oversees all cost control, budget and project management at MID Construction. Many in Paul’s network have praised his ability to execute and solve complex problems. Some notable projects Paul has worked on include: Montage Healdsburg $300M SR PM, Terranea Hotel and Resort $470M VP CM, Chicago Swissotel $125M PM, Parc 55 Hotel San Francisco $125M Development Manager, International Market Place $350M Construction Manager.
